2021 Falcon Heights Pavement Management Program
2022 Project UpdateAs the original contractor was unable to complete the project restoration last season in a satisfactory manner, the City is requesting quotes from contractors to finish the project. Work will consist of turf grass restoration on areas behind the curb disturbed by the project and the City’s lot on Lindig Street. Council will receive the quotes at their June 8, 2022 meeting. Restoration will be complete by the end of June.
June 2022 - Restoration
The City of Falcon Heights manages a comprehensive Pavement Management Program which includes repaving several miles of local streets every two years. To see which streets are being repaved in 2021, please see the proposed 2021 Pavement Management Project map.
All of the proposed roadways will have the top layer of asphalt section removed and repaved. Spot curb repairs will also be done as part of this project. We expect that there will be very little impact to driveways as part of this project.
An infiltration basin will be constructed at the north end of Lindig Street to improve water quality and drainage in the area.
On September 23, 2020, the City Council accepted the feasibility report and set the public hearing for the project. A public hearing was held on October 28, 2020, to discuss the project including assessments. At that meeting the City Council ordered the improvements. On February 10, 2021, Falcon Heights Council awarded the contract to Molnau Trucking LLC in the amount of $964.222.53. Bid abstract information is available on Roseville's eGram website. On September 22, 2021, the City Council held a public hearing and adopted the assessment roll for the special assessment funding of the project.
