Minnesota GreenStep Cities is a voluntary challenge, assistance, and recognition program to help cities achieve their sustainability and quality-of-life goals. Voluntary actions are tailored to all Minnesota cities, focus on cost savings and energy use reduction, and encourage civic innovation.
Roseville was awarded the achievement of Step 5 in June of 2021. This recognition reflects a high level of reported and rated city actions. Roseville has completed a total of 62 actions in five categories: Buildings and Lighting, Land Use, Transportation, Environmental Management, and Resilient Economic and Community Development.
The City continues to monitor and show improvements in various sustainability metrics such as Tree Canopy, LED Street lighting, Vehicle Miles Traveled, Stormwater, Renewable Energy, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Wastewater, and more.
