Parade Units

Apply now for a spot in the June 26, 2023 Rose Parade. Applications are made through the Parks & Recreation online registration system, similar to registering for a recreation program. If you're not already in the system you'll be prompted to register after which you can proceed to the parade application. If payment is required, it will be taken online with a valid credit card.

Choose one of the two application forms below based on your organization's status. Click its title (hyperlinked) and follow the prompts to complete the application process.

  1. NON-PROFIT 501(c)3 Unit Application.  Use this form if your non-profit organization is based in Roseville. You will pay no fee to be in our parade. You must be prepared to produce a copy of your" Letter of Determination" upon request.
  2.  REGULAR Unit Application.  Use this form if you represent a business, church, political candidate or other type of organization. There is a fee to join our parade. Please note, having tax-exempt status does not automatically make you a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Regular Unit fees for a business, church, political candidate or other type of organization that is not a 501(c)3 non-profit are as follows :

  • Applications submitted and received with payment by March 31, 2023: $100.
  • Applications submitted and received with payment April 1-May 1, 2023: $125.
  • Applications submitted and received with payment after May 1, 2023: $150.
Political candidates please note: the fees given here are per individual candidate.
  • As stated above, there is no fee for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations based in Roseville whose mission is service to the city of Roseville. All other organizations and individuals please choose the Regular Unit form.
  • We are also accepting applications from groups that request an appearance fee. That is to say, if they are selected, we pay them to appear in our parade. Download the Unit Requesting Appearance Fee application form.

While we prefer you apply online, we have downloadable pdf versions of the application forms both REGULAR Units and NON-PROFIT Units. Please note Regular Units need to submit payment with the application, or else make special arrangements to pay over the phone.

The Fine Print

  • As every year for the parade, we are limited in the number of units we are able to accommodate.
  • The volunteer Parade Selection Committee makes the final determination of units for the parade.
  • Consideration for Parade order is determined, in part, on entry receipt date (with payment, if applicable), variety of entertainment, and best utilization of participating units.
  • All applicants will be notified of parade lineup details beginning the week of May 8, 2023.

For assistance with the application process, please call 651-792-7006, or visit Parks and Rec. in person at City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Dr. during regular business hours
