Strategic Planning Meeting
February 13, 2010
1. Roll Call
Mayor Klausing called to order a Special
Strategic Planning Meeting of the Roseville City Council at approximately
9:00 am in the Fireside Room at the Roseville Skating Center.
Mayor Klausing announced that the
purpose of the meeting was to discuss strategic planning.
Attending: Councilmembers: (Johnson, Pust,
Ihlan, Roe, Klausing)
Staff in Attendance:
City Manager Bill Malinen
Finance Director Chris Miller;
Public Works Director Duane Schwartz;
Parks and Recreation Director
Lonnie Brokke;
Community Development Director
Patrick Trudgeon;
Acting Police Chief Rick Mathwig;
and
Acting Fire Chief Tim O’Neill
2. Agenda Review
The agenda was approved by consensus,
as presented.

Public Comment
No one spoke.
4.
Strategic Planning Process
The Council discussed the
proposed ranking approach for Imagine Roseville 2025 action items. The
Council Members and staff discussed approaches to identify priorities
consistent with Imagine Roseville 2025 and how to solicit and receive staff,
advisory commission and public input. The Council discussed hearing
presentations from department heads that will help further an understanding
of operational and long term issues as well as IR 2025 priorities. The Council
consensus was to hold a special meeting on March 1 to begin hearing from
departments and to also schedule discussions at subsequent Council meetings.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:20 am.
