What does it mean for a community to be Safe and Law Abiding as well as Welcoming, Inclusive, and Respectful? Roseville will continue the conversation with back-to-back discussions about issues surrounding immigration.
How does our changing demographics that includes immigrants, refugees and undocumented immigrants affect our community?
In late 2016, the City of Roseville hosted two community conversations on community, policing and race. From those conversations, one questions that participants asked was about the impacts national policies have on Roseville’s ability to provide a safe and welcoming community for all residents and visitors to the city, regardless of immigration status.
The first conversation will be on Wednesday, May 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Roseville Area High School Auditorium, 1240 County Road B2. Experts will speak about national immigration policies and the impacts they may have on the community.
The second conversation will be on Thursday, May 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive. We’ll host small table discussions, and participants will discuss what was learned at the May 3 conversation, and answer the following questions:
