The Roseville Alzheimer’s and Dementia Community Action Team (RSVL A/D) had teamed up with Alzheimer’s Speaks to produce Dementia: Caring & Coping during the Pandemic, a new series of virtual presentations for 2021.
The series will be webcast on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. (CDT) throughout the months of January and February and available for live and on-demand viewing at www.alzheimersspeaks.com.
Each show will highlight how current programs and services for people living with dementia and their care partners have changed due to COVID-19 and the creative solutions organizations have developed to provide services despite the challenges they face. These solutions will have a lasting effect on how providers communicate and interact with care partners who cannot leave home or need support and assistance.
Alzheimer’s Speaks founder Lori La Bey will interview eight different organizations serving persons living with dementia and their care partners during the series. Additional information and links to broadcasts will be available on the Roseville Alzheimer’s and Dementia Community Action Team’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RsvlMNDementiaInfo.
The series kicks off on Wednesday, January 6 with an interview with RSVL A/D’s Sara Barsel and Paula Rice Biever, who will discuss upcoming topics and other projects with which the action team is involved.
