OVAL Among Recommended Bonding Projects

The Minnesota OVAL has been included in the Governor’s Capital Budget Bonding Recommendations! Members of the Minnesota House of Representatives Capital Investment Committee visited the OVAL on November 13 to review the city’s $5 million bonding request to fund critical operational maintenance at the 25-year old facility in the state’s 2020 bonding bill. Today we received word that OVAL is among the Governor’s recommended projects. Read more


Primary Voting

Absentee and Early Primary Voting

Absentee voting for the 2020 presidential primary begins January 17. Ramsey County voters may cast an absentee ballot in person or through the mail. From February 25 through March 2, residents may vote early in person. A person may register to vote, complete an absentee ballot application, and vote in person all at the same time. Anyone who wants to vote through the mail must complete an application to have a ballot sent to them.

Celebrate the Year of the Rat. On Sunday, February 2, Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) in Roseville invites you to celebrate Chinese New Year – The Year of the Rat – at its annual open house. Doors will be open from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the playful and curious side of rats. Snowshoe by Candlelight  

Spend an evening under the stars on Friday, January 31. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to snowshoe along a beautifully candlelit trail. Luminaries will line the trail through Cedarholm Golf Course, 2323 Hamline Ave., from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Following the jaunt, get toasty warm while sipping hot chocolate at the Cedarholm Community Building. Ramsey County Ditch 4 Meeting

The Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD) invites residents to an informational meeting to discuss Ramsey County Ditch #4 (RCD 4) on Thursday, January 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Dr. The meeting will include information about the RCD 4 public drainage system, which flows through Oasis Park, and the process being followed to correct the drainage system’s historical record by establishing the alignment, dimension and grade of the ditch.
