Beware of IRS Scams

Roseville residents have been flooded with calls from people claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and trying to scam them out of their money. But the IRS never calls to demand immediate payment over the phone. Nevertheless, Roseville police officers have received dozens of complaints from residents who have received these calls. One resident said she had three calls in one day from someone claiming to be with the IRS. Read more

Fire Department Seeks Feedback

Roseville Businesses: the Fire Department wants to hear from you. Based on recommendations from the Community Development and Fire Departments, the City Council is considering adoption of Minnesota State Building Code 1306 - special fire protection systems for businesses. Code 1306 requires the installation of automatic sprinkler systems for new buildings, buildings increased in total floor area (including the existing building), or buildings in which the occupancy classification has changed.  Read more

Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at one of the local parks as part of the natural resources renewal project. Food Trucks in Roseville

We often get calls from food truck vendors asking about operating a food truck in Roseville. Food trucks are not regulated by the city, but to operate in Roseville they must have a valid state or county food vendor license and carry adequate insurance. Food trucks may temporarily park at a business and sell food to customers. Food trucks may also park at a private residence for a special event; however, a commercial vehicle may not park at the residence or on a city street for more than two hours. Read more

Whether planting a tree, adding a fence or building a new addition, state law requires a person to contact Gopher State One-Call at least 48 hours (excluding weekends, holidays and emergencies) before digging. Gopher State checks with public utilities to see whether any of their lines pose a hazard to where you plan to dig. Fingerprinting Services

The Roseville Police Department offers an easy and convenient way to get your fingerprints taken. Private citizens often get fingerprinted when applying for certain jobs or when completing an adoption application. In addition, parents may have their children fingerprinted for security reasons. Fingerprinting services are available at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, at a cost of $20 for the first card and $10 for additional cards. Read more

Skate Park Opening May 5

Skateboarders, bikers and inline skaters, Roseville’s Skate Park opens May 5. Challenge yourself on our exciting skate park. Entry to the skate park is free. Skate Park hours vary.
