Fraud, Scams and Identify Theft

Scammers are heartless. Learn how to defend yourself against fraud, scams and identity theft at the next Get to Know Roseville Police event on Tuesday, March 27 at the Roseville Skating Center. Scammers use threatening tactics, warning that a federal agent or police officer is on the way to arrest the targeted victim or that a loved one will be sent to prison. They even go through obituaries to get enough information to fool a grieving family member. Read more

Help Maintain Roseville Parks

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. On Saturday, March 17, we‘re looking for volunteers to help to drag and stack pre-cut buckthorn at Acorn Park from 10 a.m. to noon. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at one of the local parks as part of the natural resources renewal project. It includes an educational component and status update of the overall natural resource restoration efforts.

CPR

Hands-Only CPR Class

Roseville firefighters are offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes each month. The next class will be on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. Classes meet at the Roseville Fire Station. Firefighters teach an easy-to-learn two-step, hands-only CPR process. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. Read more

Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale

Help yourself, help your wallet and help the earth at the same time. Purchase a rain barrel and/or a compost bin from the Recycling Association of Minnesota. Compost bins cost $64 plus tax and rain barrels cost $79. Prices do not included tax and Ramsey County residents receive $20 off compost bins. Home composting is a way to trim your trash and get free garden mulch or soil supplement at the same time. Read more

House Painting Help

House Painting Help Available

Does your home need to be painted? You may be eligible for a free paint job. Each year the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches sponsors a Paint-A-Thon. Volunteers paint homes throughout the seven-county metro area the first weekend of August. To be eligible, participants must be a homeowner who meets income guidelines and be 60 years or older or have a permanent disability. The home must be a single-family home and occupied by the owner. City Hall Displays Quilts

Quilting returns to City Hall. Stop in and see the artistry of the Minnesota Contemporary Quilters. You will find 30 beautiful wall quilts throughout City Hall. The quilts are from the Minnesota Contemporary Quilters 2017 challenge theme of “Big and Small.” The quilts will be on display through mid-April. Roseville City Hall is located at the corner of Lexington and County Road C.
