Diversifying Roseville's Police Force

The City of Roseville and its Police Department is increasing efforts to build a diverse police force that reflects the community. Roseville has 48 sworn police officers, nine administrative staff and four community services officers. Over the past several years, the department has implemented steps to increase the diversity of its staff, with an emphasis on creating opportunities for ethnic minorities and women to overcome barriers to employment. The packaging might say “flushable” but don’t believe it. Baby wipes, disinfecting wipes, paper towels or anything other than waste and toilet paper should not go down your toilet. Roseville’s utility crew knows firsthand what a mess they can leave behind. When the utility crew gets a call about backed up sewers, they often find balls of baby wipes, toilet cleaning pads, hygiene products and paper towels matted together. Senior Skating

Seniors, spend Wednesdays at the Roseville Ice Arena, 2661 Civic Center Drive. The Arena is all yours from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. You can skate with your peers in a safe, friendly environment. Skating is an excellent low impact activity. Cost is $4.00 per session, and a limited number of skates are available to rent. Call 651-792-7007 if you have questions.
