City Council Adopts Budget

Council Adopts Budget, Tax Levy

The Roseville City Council has approved a property tax levy increase of 5.1 percent for 2020. The levy increase will help fund an adopted city budget of $62,493,655 for the year. The levy approved by the Council will generate $22,641,770 in total revenue, with approximately $12.4 million coming from residential properties in the city. The impact on homeowners will vary depending on a property’s value and its change in value compared to 2019. Read more

Hands-Only CPR Class 

Got an hour to spare; you could learn how to save a life. Roseville firefighters are offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. This month the class will be on December 18. Classes meet at the Roseville Fire Station, 2701 Lexington Ave. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. Only about one in 10 heart attack victims survives cardiac arrest. Read more

Invasive Brush Removal

Invasive Brush Removal 

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. Roseville is looking for nature lovers to help with our natural resources renewal efforts to improve city parks. On December 21, we’ll be thinning and removing Siberian Elm trees around Bennett Lake in Central Park. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at a local park as part of the city’s natural resources renewal project. These efforts have helped restore native habitat and reduce the spread non-native species. Read more

Food and Toiletries Donations

Spread a little holiday cheer. The Roseville Police Department is collecting donations to support the Food and Toiletries Shelf at Roseville High School, and they are asking for the community’s help. Officers and police staff are collecting new cold weather clothing, non-perishable food items and toiletries including toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, feminine products and laundry soap. Cash and checks made out to the Roseville Area High School will also be accepted. Read more

Parking is prohibited on city streets in Roseville when two inches of snow has accumulated. Vehicles parked on the street could be ticketed and/or towed.

Tree Trimming

Roseville Trims Boulevard Trees

Winter is a great time to trim trees and shrubs. Trimming in winter prevents insects and diseases from harming trees. Pruning improves a tree’s structure and overall health. Roseville Public Works crew’s goal is to trim about 20% of city trees in the winter months. This year, Public Works will trim trees in the south center section of the city beginning in early December, weather permitting. Staff receive training in the latest pruning techniques to remove overgrowth and damaged limbs.
