Join us on Fridays as we adventure to exciting locations. Pre-registration is required at least one week prior to the trip start date or until the trip fills. Extended care is available from 8:00 a.m. and until 5:30 p.m. for and additional $8 per trip. Please select the option during registration. 

Drop-off and pick-up for each trip will take place at Autumn Grove Park Building at Lydia and Hamline. Please arrive at the time listed to allow for check-in and trip preparation. Return times are approximate, due to traffic and other issues outside our control, please be prompt to stated return time when picking up your participant.

Minnesota Children's Museum and Zero Gravity

Visit the newly renovated MN Children’s Museum in St. Paul!  It’s bigger, better and bolder with more exhibits, more amenities and so many new things to learn!  After this we will be going to Zero Gravity in Mounds View and we will spend time jumping on their trampolines, enjoying the foam pit, using the climbing wall, and even playing dodgeball and basketball.  This field trip is going to be so much fun, so don’t miss out and register now!  Please bring a bag lunch, refillable water bottle, and wear shoes with socks. 

Mall of America: Minnesota Sea Life Aquarium and Nickelodeon Universe

Imagine traveling 300 feet of ocean tunnel where sharks, stingrays and giant sea turtles swim so close, you'll feel like you can reach out and touch them! Join us as we explore Minnesota Sea Life Aquarium at the Mall of America.  Not only will we be able to walk around the biggest mall in the USA, we will also get to have some fun at Nickelodeon Universe.  Hop on the Fairly Odd Coaster or take a ride on SpongeBob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge.  Whichever rides you choose you will have a blast! Please bring a bag lunch, refillable water bottle, and wear shoes with socks. 

Wild Mountain

Join us for a fun day as we go to Wild Mountain in Taylor’s Falls, MN!  If you are ready to get wet they have several large waterslides, a lazy river, and other fun attractions to use.  If you want to stay dry you can enjoy the Go-Karts, or take the chairlift to the top of the mountain and wind down the 1700’ long Alpine Slide track back down to the bottom.  Please bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a bag lunch/money for concessions.

Madison's Place Playground and Conquer Ninja Warrior

Join in on a day full of being active as we head to Woodbury for some adventure. The day will start off at Madison’s Place Playground where we will climb and play on the 16,000-square-foot all-inclusive playground which offers sun-shade covered play decks, swings, and sensory play equipment. We will then head to Conquer Ninja Warrior to learn and build ninja skills on the obstacles. Bring a bag lunch and wear shoes with socks.

Apple Valley Aquatic Center

Get ready to enjoy this outdoor pool full of water slides, a lazy river, and tons pool space.  Don’t forget your sunscreen as you enjoy the water and the sun at this outdoor water park.  There is a dry park and play area if you need a break from the pool. Please wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, sunscreen, bag lunch, and a refillable water bottle.

From flips and dips to a 200-foot drop, there is excitement galore on Valleyfair’s seven thrilling roller coasters, including Steel Venom, an impulse coaster with a twist! Don’t miss Power Tower - 275 feet of extreme scream! For those looking for relaxed thrills, the park offers a myriad of magical delights. There’s something for everyone at Valleyfair!  All rides inside the park are included in admission, including the water rides. We will not be visiting Challenge Go Cart Park. Bring money for concessions, swimsuit, towel & sunscreen.

George Green Park and Anoka Aquatic Center

Get ready for a day in the sun and water as we head to the Anoka Aquatic Center. The day will start by exploring George Green Park in Anoka. The park features a ropes playground as well as lots of play space. We will then walk over to the Anoka Aquatic Center to have a blast on the 12 foot climbing wall, fly down the 200 foot waterslides, try out the adventure walk and more! Please wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, sunscreen, bag lunch, and a refillable water bottle.

Maplewood Nature Center and Big Thrill Factory

While venturing through 1.5 miles of hiking trails that wind through wetlands and woods we will learn about the different pollinators and their habitats from a Naturalist at the Maplewood Nature Center. Participants will also have free time with interactive exhibits and nature play yard. Ramping up the energy we will spend the afternoon at the Big Thrill Factory. Fun will include competing in the time challenge, trying out the ropes course, and jumping on the outdoor trampolines. Please bring a bag lunch, refillable water bottle, and wear closed to shoes with socks.

The Works Museum and Hyland Park

This trip will head to The Works Museum to examine how light travels, changes direction, and is reflected. Participants will get to build and engineer a colorful kaleidoscope to take home. Traveling to Hyland Park we will explore and climb the hexagonal climbers that end with slides up to 50 feet long! Please bring a bag lunch, refillable water ball, and wear closed toe shoes with socks. 

Sliverwood Park

Venturing to Silverwood Park, we will meet up with wilderness experts from Three Rivers Park District. Participants will go canoeing, learn archer skills, and outdoor digital photography. Returning to Autumn Grove Park we will continue the fun with outdoor games and playground time. Please being a bag lunch, refillable water bottle, and wear closed toed shoes. 

Como Zoo - "All Through Africa"

Friday, August 24         9:00am - 4:30pm

Africa has some of the most diverse plants and animals on the planet. During an educational session at Como Zoo we will discover the landscape and habitats that support these plants and animals. Participants will also meet some real live ambassadors to learn what makes them so well adapted for life in Africa. Afterwards we will go on a safari through the rest of the zoo grounds. Please bring a bag lunch and refillable water bottle.
