Recreation Coordinator


Hourly Rate: $12.00-$14.25

 The Seasonal Recreation Coordinator positions provide leadership and work direction to assigned program area staff as well as manages recreation program offerings. Duties include development of curriculum, projects, games, and activities as well as logistics, and customer service. 

Available Recreation Coordinator Positions:
  • Summer Program Coordinator (Puppet Wagon, Discover Your Parks, Passport to Play, Games Galore, and Rec Connect)
  • Summer Spectacular Coordinator (Summer Spectacular (full day camp) and Friday Field Trips)
  • Summer Sports Coordinator (Kicker and Slugger Series, Basketball, Track, and Leaders in Training.

Rec on the Go Coordinator


Hourly Rate: $12.00-$14.25

Seasonal Rec on the Go Coordinator will develop and initiate trusting relationships with participants, ensuring all participants feel comfortable and act as the liaison for behavioral and communication barriers between participants, families and/or staff. This position will develop curriculum related to games, sports, art projects, stories and activities during program times while modifying activities to meet specific characteristics of age, group and ability level. Knowledge of Karen culture or language is preferred. 
 

Recreation Program Lead 

Hourly Rate: $9.65-$12.50

Full Day Program Lead (Summer Spectacular ages 6-12)
Half Day Program Lead (Passport to Play, Games Galore ages 6-12)

Provide onsite leadership to program staff and develop, initiate, lead and participate in games, sports, projects, and activities during program time. Programs are held full days and half days M-Th with prep time and Field trips on Fridays. 


Puppet Wagon Lead
Ability to lead theme based theatrical plays. Write scripts, act out different parts and voices using puppets and sound system. Work as a team in a small area to sing, perform puppetry, and interact with families. Prep Mondays, performances on T-Th mornings and T-W evenings. 


​Recreation Staff 


Hourly Rate: $8.50-$12.50

Position: Recreation Special Event Staff
Work with youth and families at evening special events by providing sports, games, crafts and theme related activities. Programs held evenings M-Th.

Position: Puppeteer
Ability to lead theme based theatrical plays. Write scripts, act out different parts and voices using puppets and sound system. Work as a team in a small area to sing, perform puppetry, and interact with families. Prep Mondays, performances on T-Th mornings and T-W evenings.

Position: Preschool Instructor
Ability to lead theme based play instruction and preschool sports for our preschool program held T-Th mornings with additional prep time. Must be available to work June 16 - 20th. Instructor would supervise preschool staff and oversee instructional curriculum for all classes. Prior experience with preschoolers preferred.


Sport Coach


Hourly Rate: $8.50-$12.50

Position:
Youth Track Coach
Experience or knowledge of Track & Field events. Teach beginning and intermediate skills to include proper training techniques and skill development. Typical hours are Tuesday & Thursday evenings 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Position: Youth Sports Coach 
Our Sports are a focus on fun with an emphasis on skill development. Staff must be able to teach either basketball, or soccer and baseball techniques to children ages 3-11 years old at all levels. Hours are typically Monday-Thursday mornings, evenings & Saturday mornings.
