Engineering for Kids Jr. STEM Club

Grades K-3, 4:15-5:15pm at Harriet Alexander Nature Center

The Engineering For Kids Jr. STEM Club introduces students to a new, hands-on lesson every week from various engineering disciplines. For each lesson, students focus on developing 21st Century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and peer collaboration. These life skills provide students with the confidence to approach challenges in their lives and realize that they can succeed in almost anything!

Session I, Sep 29- Oct 20. Lessons:

  2. Spinner - Mechanical Engineering
  3. Simple Machines - Industrial Engineering
  4. Stomp Rockets - Aerospace Engineering

Session II, Nov 3 - 24. Lessons:

  1. Straw Rockets - Aerospace Engineering
  2. Separating the Force - Electrical Engineering
  3. Binary Bracelets - Coding Unplugged
  4. Catapults - Mechanical Engineering
