Sawdust Savvy with Lunch at Lion's Tavern, Stillwater MN

Are you ready for a DIY project? Come with us as we join the experts from Sawdust Savvy to create our very own round wood tray. Sawdust Savvy has been making wood crafting easy since 2014. The talented staff will guide each participant through staining, stenciling and the assembly of their personalized round tray. After finishing your DIY project we will enjoy lunch at the Lion's Tavern where participants will choose from their lunch duo menu: pick two, soup, salad, 1/2 sandwich or their basic burger. Please pre-select the stencil design you would like to create on the tray. Options include Minnesota Home, La Vie Est Belle, Cheers, or Monogram Initial (please indicate identifying letter).

​Historic Saint Paul Tour

Thursday, May 10 Program #7201.410 $58

We will visit St. Paul - Minnesota's charming, historic capital city. Magnificent Art Deco & Victorian reminders of the past nestle next to sleek skyscrapers, giving this Capital City and Old World charm. We will drive along Summit Avenue, one of the longest stretches of virtually uninterrupted Victorian architecture in the United States. This monumental boulevard of homes, churches, synagogues & schools attracts tourists & natives alike who stroll past its architectural curiosities & landmarks. Next we will venture to downtown Saint Paul where we will explore Rice Park, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Minnesota History Center, Children's Museum, Mickey's Diner, the Fitzgerald Theater & the Landmark Center (where we will make a short stop for guests to wander on their own). As we drive by the Minnesota State Capitol (considered the second most beautiful capitol building in the United States, after Utah), we'll stop for a 45 minute tour of this newly renovated building. Also included is a stop at the Market House restaurant located in the Minnesota History Center for a boxed lunch. With it's fascinating history, world-class museums & theatre, and enchanting architecture, Saint Paul is truly a remarkable city!

​Gammelgården Tour & Smörgåsbord

Wednesday, June 20 Program #7201.411 $55

Meaning "old farm" in Swedish, the Gammelgården Museum is the only open air museum devoted to preserving, presenting & promoting Swedish immigrant heritage in the United States. In buildings that have been carefully preserved & restored, visitors can get a glimpse of the daily lives & artifacts of these immigrants. The day will begin with a history talk in the Välkommen Hus. Follow with a guided tour through five historic buildings. End the tour with a stop in our Butik gift shop. After the tour we head across the street to the Elim Church to enjoy a Smörgåsbord including: Swedish meatballs with gravy, parsley buttered boiled potatoes, buttered peas, cucumber slices in vinegar, pickled herring, pickled beets, fresh seasonal fruit, rye bread with butter, desert & beverage. This trip includes outdoor walking at the museum.

Minneapolis Brewery Tour

Breweries have never been more popular. Minnesota alone has more than 110 breweries! Join us on this fun tour to visit three of them. Travel in a luxury coach bus across Minneapolis to visit Inbound Brewco, Fulton Brewing, and Sisyphus Brewing. You'll get to sample a pint of your choice at each brewery.

Fee includes luxury coach transportation with tour guide to three breweries, one pint at each & gratuities. A light snack offered on the bus but no meal is provided. Food available for purchase at the breweries.

Lake Minnetonka Boat Cruise

Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Minnetonka area. Departing from the port of Excelsior, your Paradise Destiny II cruise will take you past century-old lake cottages & million dollar luxury mansions. Enjoy lunch while on the cruise; choose from chicken salad, turkey breast, or baked ham sandwiches, all served with homemade coleslaw, fresh fruit, potato chips, pickle chips, and Paradise cookie & bar tray. Lake Minnetonka's historic past & exciting waters await you.
