Roseville Explorer Program Accepting New Registrations

The City of Roseville is expanding it's Fire explorer program, and invites all those interested in a career in emergency medical services, to find out more!

This is where I got my passion in firefighting," says Reilly Keenan, a Roseville fire fighter. "I always thought I wanted to be a fire fighter, but the explorer program, being out with the crews and training, that's what solidified it for me.

Keenan was an explorer for four years with Roseville fire before going to college for business and Emergency Medical Training. He received his paramedic licensure in November, 2021.

The Roseville Fire Explorer program is open to young people age 13-20 who think they may want to learn more about a future career in fire fighting or emergency services. Explorers get to attend ride-alongs, go out on calls, spend overnights, and learn more about the profession. It is organized through the Boy Scouts of America; all people are welcome to apply.

If you know someone who may be interested in this field, Roseville Fire is hosting an informational program at the fire station on Sunday, May 22nd at 6:00 pm.

If you have any questions or are interested in applying please contact Emily at 651-792-7309
