Council Adopts 2021 Budget, Levy

The Roseville City Council approved a $62.8 million budget for 2021 at its final meeting of the year on Monday, December 7. The budget calls for the city to hold the line on spending and increases Roseville’s budget just over one percent compared to 2020. The budget continues to fund all existing city programs and services and covers inflationary costs for staff and equipment, plus the addition of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager and additional public safety personnel. New Utility Rate Structure for 2021

The City Council has adopted a new utility rate structure for 2021. The new rate structure is based on usage rather than fixed fees. It aims to address a growing inequality between residential and commercial users, encourages conservation and brings Roseville’s utility rates in line with industry standards. The new rates will also cure the steadily declining cash balance in the Water Utility Fund used for water system maintenance and improvements.

Bennett Lake Savanna Restoration

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. Roseville is looking for volunteers to join our Natural Resources Renewal efforts to improve city parks. Pending the latest COVID-related restrictions, we‘re looking for volunteers to help restore the north side of Bennett Lake by removing fallen limbs and damaged trees on Saturday, December 19 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at a local park.
