Join the community conversation. The City of Roseville invites you to the second in a series of discussions about community, policing and race on Thursday, December 1 at Roseville Area High School. In October, more than 200 community members came together to share their reactions to a police shooting in a neighboring community. Congratulations to Roseville Community Development Director Kari Collins for receiving the Hamline University Women in Public Service Conference “Public Service Rising Star” award. The Rising Star Award recognizes women in public service with 10 or fewer years of service who are already making their mark in working toward the public good. Collins joins Kayla Fruetel, Youth Worker for 180 Degrees, and Danielle Werder, Senior Planner for Hennepin County in receiving this honor. Read more...

Shop with a Cop

The weeks leading up to the season of gift giving can be a fun-filled time of year. But for some families it can also be a time of stress. That is why the Roseville Police Department is partnering with local social service provider Tubman Family Services and Roseville Area Schools, to identify families who have worked with a Roseville family violence detective or have other family needs. Boulevard Tree Trimming

Winter is a great time to trim trees and shrubs. Roseville Public Works Crews goal is to trim close to 20% of City trees in the winter months. Trimming in winter prevents insects and diseases from harming trees. Pruning improves a tree’s structure and overall health. City staff receive training in the latest pruning techniques. They remove overgrowth and damaged limbs. Proper pruning keeps the City’s trees healthy and strong and prevents possible damage from falling branches. Read more...

Skatercise

Skatercise at the Arena

Grab your skates and start a new exercise program. The City of Roseville invites you to a fun, get-in-shape skating class. Join instructors Pamela Sandborg and Liatra Adsitt for a class that pairs exercise with skating that is designed to meet your level of skating skill. Most classes have fewer than 10 skaters, so participants get lots of individual attention. Classes meet Fridays from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. at the Roseville Skating Center Arena, 2661 Civic Center Drive.
