New Assistant City Manager

Olson Named Assistant City Manager

City Manager Patrick Trudgeon has appointed Rebecca Olson as the City of Roseville’s new Assistant City Manager. Olson is Roseville’s first Assistant City Manager since 2002 and began her new role on Monday. Olson brings more than 18 years of state and municipal government experience with her to Roseville. She most recently served three years as the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Shoreview. Prior to that Olson served nearly 10 years as the Assistant to the City Manager in Blaine. Read more

Online Permits and Inspections

Getting a permit in Roseville will get a whole lot easier beginning next week. The City of Roseville will unveil a new online permitting and inspections system called Accela on Monday, May 8. With an easily-created and free user account, residents and contractors can apply for permits, request inspections, and pay fees entirely online—and do so 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Users will be able to monitor the progress of projects. Read more

Shredding Day

Free Document Shredding

Roseville residents, protect yourself from identity theft with a free solution from the City of Roseville. Roseville is working with Business Data Record Services to offer a free document shredding day for residents at City Hall on Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to noon. Crews will help unload documents from your vehicle and load them into a secured cart. The paper will be shredded on site and recycled. CHAT Book Event

Join Roseville’s Community Health Awareness Team (CHAT) at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville on Saturday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. for a free, health-related talk by award-winning author Deborah Day Laxson. Laxson is the author of “The Gray Zone: When Life Support No Longer Supports Life.” She will relay her life story and discuss what it means to put your feelings aside to honor the wishes of a friend or loved one.

Recycle at Central Park

Recycle at Central Park

Recycling just got a little easier in Central Park. On May 2, Eureka Recycling added recycling carts to Central Park at Lexington Ave. and Victoria Ave. The City is working with Eureka Recycling on a pilot program to service carts on a pathway in the park, in an effort to increase recycling. The new single sort carts will be clearly labeled with the accepted materials including cardboard, paper, glass and plastics bottles, aluminum cans, and other items. Read more

New Commission

The City of Roseville introduces a newly formed Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission to encourage participation in the affairs of the City. The new commission will advise the City Council on programs and efforts that could improve civic engagement and community relations. It combines the goals of the Community Engagement Commission and the Human Rights Commission into one commission. Read more
