2018 Proposed Budget

Finalizing a city’s annual budget is a balancing act with many priorities competing for limited resources. For the past several months, the Roseville City Council and staff have been listening to constituents, reviewing budgets, and prioritizing community needs. Based on their work, Roseville City Manager Patrick Trudgeon will present the 2018 proposed budget to the City Council on August 28. The City Council will then spend the next several weeks reviewing the recommended budget. Read more

State Fair Parking

It's state fair time, and one of the biggest questions is how to get there. Since parking spaces are in high demand, the Minnesota State Fair encourages attendees to bike, walk or use public transit. Roseville offers several free park and ride lots throughout the city to help fairgoers avoid parking hassles. The city occasionally receives questions about the state fair parking in their neighborhoods. Read more

Temporary Closure of Victoria

Temporary Closure of Victoria

Ramsey County will resurface the railroad crossing on Victoria Street just north of County Road C in Roseville. Work is expected to begin the week of August 28. in addition to resurfacing the crossing, the County will be installing a wider crossing to accommodate sidewalks on the west side of Victoria Street. Please follow detour signs and use extreme caution when driving in areas where roadwork is being completed. Read more

B2 and Snelling Improvements

If you are driving to Rosedale Center, expect a temporary inconvenience at County Road B2 and the southbound Snelling Ave. ramps near the mall. A second left turn lane into the mall will be added to  westbound County Road B2. In addition, a new signal system will be added and other roadway improvements, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk updates, will be made. City Hall Closed Labor Day

City Hall Closed Labor Day

Roseville City offices will be closed on Monday, September 4, to commemorate Labor Day. The Roseville License Center will be closed Saturday and Monday. Roseville Police and Firefighters remain on duty. Garbage and recycling services throughout the week will be one day later than usual because of the holiday. Please buckle up and drive carefully during the holiday weekend. Read more

Schools Open Soon – Watch for Kids

School opening is around the corner, so now is a good time to review the rules of the road. Roseville Police ask drivers to slow down in school zones and watch for kids. Keep an eye out for walkers, kids on bikes,  crossing guards, safety patrols and school buses. Remember, it is illegal to pass a school bus that has its red lights flashing. The speed limit on most city streets is posted. If it is not posted the speed limit is 30 mph. Read more

Lower Your Heating Bills

Concerned about big heating bills this winter? Check out the Citizen’s Utility Board (CUB) of Minnesota, a new non-profit organization that can help you with ideas to save money. The Roseville Area Senior Program (RASP) and the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) have joined forces to bring consulting and an educational presentation to Roseville area residents. Read more

Japanese Beetles

Japanese beetles are alive and well and probably feeding on the plants in your yard. They feed on shrubs, turf grasses, and trees, leaving behind damaged plants. The adult beetles appear in late June through September to feed, mate and lay eggs. The beetles are destructive, but treatments to control the larvae and the beetles are available. It’s important to use the appropriate type of treatment to control the beetles. Read more

Bowl without the crowds; lanes are reserved for older adult bowling. Flaherty’s Arden Bowl is located at 1273 West County Road E. Games start at 9:30 a.m. One-time registration fee is $7.00, and weekly cost is $8.00 for three games and coffee. Read more
