2018 Budget

2018 Budget Adopted

Roseville’s annual round of budget discussions has produced a final adopted city budget of $54,239,230 for 2018. The budget passed on a 3-1 vote. The 2018 property tax levy approved by the council is $20,680,505. It is an increase of $1,167,445 or 5.98 percent compared to the 2017 levy. However, due to the overall growth of the city’s tax base and a shift in the tax burden toward commercial properties, the increase realized by homeowners will be less than previous years. Read more

City Offices Closed for Holidays

Roseville city offices, including the License and Passport Center, will be closed from December 22 to December 25 to celebrate the Christmas holiday. Offices will also be closed on Monday, January 1 for the New Year’s Day holiday. Roseville Police and Firefighters remain on duty. Garbage and recycling services for the week of December 25 and the week of January 1 will be delayed by one day. Read more

Neighborhood Rinks

Neighborhood Rinks 

Come on cold – we’re ready to skate. Roseville city crews have been prepping local skating rinks, but it will depend of Mother Nature to determine when the city's outdoor neighborhood rinks will open. It takes several days of below freezing temperatures to get the rinks ready for skating. The city’s goal is to open rinks on December 21, but that is weather dependent. Roseville offers warming rooms at Acorn, Autumn Grove, Lexington, Sandcastle and Villa Parks. Read more

Salting Tips to Protect Our Waters

Snowstorms can sneak up us, leaving us scrambling for the snow blower, shovel and salt. But before using salt, we want to remind you that if you don’t use it properly salt can be ineffective and harm the environment. Salt helps melt ice and protects drivers and pedestrians. According to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, an estimated 365,000 tons of salt is used in the metro each year. But when the snow melts, the de-icing salt, which contains chloride, runs into nearby bodies of water. Read more
