Text to 911

Text-to-911 Now Available

In an emergency, dialing 911 is a call for help. But for people with hearing loss or those who must remain quiet in a dangerous situation, calling 911 may not be an option. Thanks to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Emergency Communication Networks (DPS-ECN), a person can now text messages to 911. DPS-ECN has developed Text-to-911 on Minnesota’s Next Generation 911 (NG911) network. Minnesotans can now use the service throughout the state. Read more

Traffic stops, DUI, auto theft, narcotics – Roseville Police invite you to join them for a special Citizens Academy on Wednesday, January 17 for a look at the Police Department patrol division. In this session, Police Chief Rick Mathwig and officers will describe a patrol officer’s typical day on the job. And the first thing they’ll tell you is there’s no such thing as a typical day in the life of a police officer. Read more

Protect our Natural Resources 

The City of Roseville invites you to join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day for “A Day On, Not a Day Off.” Join us on January 15 for a family-friendly community volunteer event. The MLK holiday is a day when community members are encouraged to volunteer. Staff will provide an overview of the city’s natural resources renewal efforts and training on how to prevent the spread of invasive species. Read more

Sign up for Snowplow Alerts

Want to know when Roseville's snowplows are about to roll? Roseville residents and businesses can sign up to receive email or text alerts. Log on to  www.cityofroseville.com/receiveupdates to begin receiving alerts about when the city will begin snowplowing. Roseville does not declare snow emergencies. Instead, the city enforces an on-street parking ban once two inches of snow has fallen within a 48-hour period. Read more

Car Seat Clinic

Free Car Seat Clinic

The City of Roseville is committed to keeping your children safe. One simple task is to make sure that your child’s car seat is installed correctly. Join us for a free car seat clinic on Saturday, January 13. Approximately 90% of car seats are not. This could lead to serious injury or death if your child is in an accident. Roseville is collaborating with Children’s Hospital of Minnesota to offer free car seat clinics. Read more
