Help Plant a Pollinator Garden

Help us plant a pollinator garden at the new Cleveland Avenue Park on Saturday, September 15 from 20 a.m. to noon. We’re planting more than 3,500 pollinator-friendly flowers, shrubs and trees, but we can't do it without volunteer help. Honeybees, and other pollinators, are vital for most flowers, fruits and vegetables. Many of the country's crops would not exist and crop yield and quality would be greatly reduced without the honeybee.

Wild Rice Festival

Join the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) on Saturday, September 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as HANC celebrates the fifteenth annual Wild Rice Festival. It’s a free, family-friendly celebration of wild rice, Native American culture and Minnesota’s harvest season. HANC is located at 2520 Dale St. It includes 52 acres of marsh, prairie and forest habitats. Proceeds of this event support the nature center and its mission of environmental education and outdoor recreation. Read more

Human Rights Essay Contest

Students, join us for a human rights essay contest. This year, the Roseville Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission challenges sixth, seventh and eighth grade students to tackle the topic of bullying. Contest rules are posted online and distributed to all public and private schools in the Roseville Area School District. Contact your principal or teacher for information. Check out Roseville's Skate Park

Skateboarders, bikers and inline skaters, check out Roseville’s Skate Park for some autumn fun. The Park will remain open until October 7, weather permitting. Autumn hours begin September 4. Inline skating and the skate park will be open daily from noon until sunset. Entry to the skate park is free. The Roseville Skating Center is located at 2661 Civic Center Drive. Youth Tennis and Hockey Lessons

Kids, learn a new sport. We’re offering tennis and hockey lessons that help build Character, Hand, Eye and Mind (CHEM). These lessons provide sport instruction and personal enrichment that encourages character development using team building skills, awareness and character both on and off the court. Youth CHEM tennis classes are offered on Saturdays from September 8 to October 13. Youth CHEM hockey lessons will be on Thursdays from October 4 to November 15. Read more

Safety Awareness and Self Defense

Enroll your child in a safety awareness and self-defense class and your child will benefit from the skills learned for years to come. Fall classes meet Thursday evenings, September 20 to November 15. There is also a winter session of classes from November 29 to January 31. Children 5 years and older will improve their concentration, increase strength and balance, and enhance coordination. They’ll learn self-discipline and defense rather than aggression. Read more

Gymnastics Classes

Kids, looking for some fun? Sign up for the fall session of gymnastics. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to an exciting season of gymnastics. Classes begin the week of September 8 and continue for 10 weeks at the Roseville Gymnastics Center, 1238 County Road B2. Roseville Gymnastics offers classes for girls ages 3 to 14 years. Preschool classes available for boys and girls ages 3 to 5. Participants are divided into classes based on skill level. Read more
