Commission Appointments

Congratulations to six Roseville residents. The City Council appointed them to several commissions at its March 25 meeting. Joseph Arneson, Daryl Brown and David-Todd Dahlstom were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Michelle Kruzel and Michelle Pribyl were appointed to the Planning Commission. Stephanie Hammer was appointed to the Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission.

Protecting our Groundwater

As you get ready for spring yardwork, the City of Roseville asks you to do your part to protect the city’s groundwater. The chemicals you apply to the lawn can seep into groundwater and run off into the storm sewer system and wind up in neighboring lakes and ponds. For the best results, use the minimum amount of fertilizer based on the manufacturer’s recommended rates and fertilize on a cool day before a rainfall or before irrigating, allowing the fertilizer to work into the soil. Read more

Free Help for your Garden

Free Help for your Garden

Roseville resident can pick up free compost and wood chips from the bins in front of Roseville’s Leaf Recycling Center on Dale St., south of County Road C. This nutrient rich compost boosts soil and helps your garden. Wood chips make a great ground cover that reduces weeding, saves water, nourishes soil and reduces the need for chemical weed killers or herbicides. The gates to the Leaf Recycling Center will be open from April 1 to May 6.

CarFit Clinic

Seniors, Roseville Fire invites you to discover your perfect fit. You are invited to a Driver Safety CarFit event. CarFit is a free, interactive and educational program that teaches participants how to make their personal vehicle fit them correctly to increase safety and mobility before hitting the road. Participants review key areas such as adequate space from the steering wheel, proper seat belt use and properly adjusted safety devices.
