New Playground Planned for Lexington Park in 2025
Lexington Park Project Begins
Exciting changes are coming to Lexington Park as part of the City's asset replacement program!
The Lexington Park Playground is scheduled for replacement in 2025, and construction for the improvements will begin the week of March 25. The first phase will include the installation of security fencing and demolition of the current site.
In the summer of 2024, Parks and Recreation staff met with neighborhood residents to gather feedback on what they’d like to see in the new playground. We’re excited to bring those ideas to life!
We’re also planning a Community Build event and will share more details in the coming weeks—stay tuned!

Lexington Park Project Planning
As part of the City's asset replacement program, the Lexington Park Playground is planned for replacement in 2025. Parks and Recreation staff met with the neighborhood during the summer of 2024 to receive feedback about what residents would like to see included in the new playground.
Meeting #1 – Wednesday, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lexington Park Building
Initial concept planning and input - an interactive discussion on what you would like to see in your new playground.
Meeting #2 – Wednesday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. during the Discover Your Parks event in the park.
Stop by our table near the playground for an interactive discussion and to provide feedback on concepts that are developed following the first meeting. In the event of rain, this meeting will be held inside the park building even if the Discover Your Parks event is canceled.
