Notification Process and Scheduling of Appointments


If your meter or the radio attached to the meter is having an issue, the City of Roseville may contact you by mail to schedule an appointment so our staff can troubleshoot the issue.

Important Appointment Information

  • It is important that an appointment be scheduled within two weeks of receiving notice for the work to be completed in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Meter appointments are scheduled in two-hour blocks of time.
  • An adult 18 years or older must be present at the time of installation.
  • A 3’ by 3’ clear zone is desired for accessing the water meter and shut-off valve; the installer must be able to reasonably reach the fixtures and have clearance for tools used to perform the work; if the water meter is obstructed, you will be instructed to re-schedule.
  • Shut-off valve must be in working condition – it is the homeowner’s responsibility to fix the valve, if needed before making an appointment.
  • Installations typically take less than 30 minutes.
