Voting Early/Absentee Voting

Voting Early/Absentee Voting Procedures

The City of Roseville does not have an election in 2017. The two school districts have elections that are coordinated by Ramsey County.

Voters may vote by absentee ballot either through the mail or in person at Ramsey County and other locations. Special absentee balloting procedures are available to voters in health care facilities. Call Ramsey County at 651-266-2171 for additional information.

Absentee Voting in Person

Ramsey County residents may vote in person during the 45 days prior to the election at the Ramsey County Office of Elections:
90 W. Plato Blvd.
Suite 160
St. Paul, MN 55107

Absentee Voting by Mail

Please allow at least 7 days to complete this process. Complete the online absentee ballot application. You may also get an absentee ballot application from the Ramsey County Office of Elections 651-266-2171.

Once you complete and submit the application, Ramsey County will mail an absentee ballot to the address that you specify on the application. Complete the ballot, and return it by mail to Ramsey County. Ramsey County must receive the ballot by election day. Ballots received after election day will not be counted.

Special Considerations for Voting by Mail

You may request an absentee ballot at any time. Ballots are available 45 days before the election. If you mail your request early, Ramsey County will keep your application and mail the ballot as soon as they are available.

If you are not registered at your address, the county will send voter registration materials with the ballot. Follow all directions carefully. Absentee ballots will not be accepted if the ballot and appropriate materials are not completed properly.

On election day, absentee ballots may only be delivered by agent to Ramsey County before 3 p.m. Absentee ballots will not be accepted at the polls (precinct) on election day.
