Are you a college student thinking of a career in law enforcement? The Roseville Police Department encourages students to explore the field of law enforcement through paid internships. Internships provide a valuable opportunity to experience the internal operations of a police department while building your resume and earning college internship credit. We are committed to helping students decide if law enforcement is a good career choice for them. Our Police Department accepts one student intern during each semester.

Requirements

  • Intern must be a law enforcement student completing a two or four year degree
  • Internship must be for credit and a minimum of 120 hours required
  • Schedule availability Mon- Fri business hours
  • Students aspiring to become police officers are preferred
  • Candidates who speak a foreign language, have experience living or working in diverse communities, or are underrepresented in law enforcement are strongly encouraged to apply

Applying for an Internship

All prospective interns are required to submit an application for consideration. All interns are subject to an interview and background check. The Roseville Police Department maintains high standards for accepting interns and, in turn, provides interns with a comprehensive and positive experience in all aspects of law enforcement.

Application Deadlines:

• Fall semester – June 1st

• Spring semester – October 1st

• Summer semester – March 1st
