Roseville Public Works Projects Updates

Listed below are the schedule updates for the listed projects.  Please visit the webpages for additional information.

Lexington Watermain

The City’s project consists of replacing watermain on Lexington Avenue between County Road C and Woodhill Drive.  This project is currently scheduled to start on April 25 and continue through mid-June. Traffic control is anticipated to begin on May 4, at which time traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

County Road B Watermain

The City’s project consists of replacing watermain on County Road B between Merrill Street and Lexington Avenue. This project is scheduled to start in May 9. Once construction begins, County Road B between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue will be only open to Westbound traffic. Access to residents will be maintained.  Once the City’s project is done, Xcel Energy will replace their gas main between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Work will be ongoing through September. Snelling Avenue Median Cable Barrier Project

MnDOT will begin work on Snelling Avenue between County Road C and I-694. Works consists of installing a new median cable barrier.  Lane restrictions will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily for the side the contractor is working.  Work will begin April 25 for northbound Snelling through mid-May and then will start on southbound through mid-June. 

Xcel Gas Project

Gas work continues on Hamline Avenue.  During the coming week, construction will occur in the following areas:

  • Hamline Avenue, between County Road B2 and Commerce Street.
    • Line installation and material staging.
    • Shifting lanes, two-way traffic allowed.
  • Hamline Avenue, between Commerce Street and Sandhurst Drive.
    • Line installation and material staging.
    • One-way southbound only traffic.
    • Follow posted detours.
