City’s 2025 Final Budget Approved

The Roseville City Council approved the city’s 2025 budget at its December 2 meeting.

The 2025 budget totals $73.6 million. It supports essential city services includes police, fire, parks, and public works including water service, snowplowing, and road maintenance. The 2025 budget also includes $12.5 million for capital improvement projects. 

The 2025 budget represents a 5.02% increase from 2024 due to higher personnel and supply costs as well as increased capital equipment purchases. 

Approximately 41% of the total budget, or $30.3 million, is funded by commercial and residential taxpayers through the property tax levy. 

The city’s total property tax levy will increase by $1.6 million, or 5.44%, over 2024.   

The owner of a median-valued single-family home ($360,500) will see an increase of $9.72 per month or $116.40 more per year for city property taxes in in 2025 compared to 2024. 

The City’s Economic Development Authority levy also will increase slightly. The owner of a median-valued single-family home will see an increase of $.08 per month, or less than one dollar for the year.
