Welcome to Roseville Public Works Construction Projects Updates for 2021. The Public Works Department will be utilizing this platform throughout this year's construction season to help keep residents updated on the status of projects it expects to impact city streets. The following project webpages have been updated:
Cleveland Watermain

Week of July 27 – Restoration work will continue throughout the project, including remaining curb and driveway. Street restoration areas will be prepped for pavement.
Week of August 2 – Pavement patching will occur. Topsoil and boulevard restoration will occur. The northbound Cleveland lanes will be milled.
Week of August 9 – The final layer of pavement will be installed. Pavement markings will be installed 3-4 days after the pavement is installed. Mailboxes will be installed and temporary mailboxes will be removed and normal mail service should resume.
Week of August 16 – Final cleanup and all traffic control will be fully removed.
County Road B Utility Work

This project is scheduled to start August 4 and last approximately 4 four weeks. Project work will coincide with the Xcel Energy gas line project and is subject to change.
Road Closures and Detours
Detours of County Road B will be in place for each of the three sewer repairs. Access to homes and businesses will remain open. The detours and road closures will be coordinated with the Xcel gas project.
Closed for four weeks starting the week of August 2:
Cohansey Blvd. and County Road B Intersection
Dale St. and County Road B Intersection
County Road B, from Dale St. to Victoria St.
A detour that will route through traffic to Larpenteur Ave. on the south side and Highway 36 on the north side during the closures.
Local Access Routes:
Properties located between Cohansey Blvd. and Dale St.: Access from Sandhurst Dr.
Properties located between Dale St. and Victoria St.: A portion of the Dale St. and County Road B intersection will remain open for local traffic southbound onto Dale St. to the right turn to westbound County Road B

Snelling Avenue (TH51) & Lydia Avenue Signal Modification

The City of Roseville is partnering with MnDOT and St. Paul Traffic to upgrade the signal controls at the Snelling Ave (TH 51) and Lydia Avenue intersection.
The cost of this project is funded by City street funds. There will be NO ASSESSMENTS for this work within the City of Roseville.
Schedule
This project is scheduled to start the week of July 26 with a duration of approximately 2 weeks.
Road Closures and Detours
Week of July 26: Lydia Avenue will be closed at the intersection. Traffic will be detoured south to County Road C2.
Week of August 2: Lydia Avenue reopened. There will be a lane closure on northbound Snelling Avenue (TH 51).
Twin Lakes Trail Project

At the July 12, 2021 City Council Meeting, the Council approved moving forward with Phase 2 final plans. This would extend the trail from Terrace Avenue to Oasis Park. Construction is anticipated to start on this phase of the project in summer of 2022.
