Roseville Public Works Projects Updates
The following projects are ongoing in the City this week. Please visit the webpages for additional information.
Lexington Watermain

Week of May 30 – Watermain work should be completed. Restoration work will begin with curb and sidewalk installation.
Week of June 6 – Restoration work will continue bituminous paving. Temporary water will be removed. All work should be completed by the end of the week and traffic control will be removed.
Traffic on Lexington Avenue between Oakcrest Avenue and Woodhill Avenue is reduced to one lane in each direction by eliminating the center left turn lane. Traffic is shifted to the east to allow for watermain construction.
County Road B Watermain

Work on the project is underway. Watermain work will continue through late June generally working from Lexington towards the west. Water services will be reconnected the week of June 6, with temporary services removed the week of June 13.
County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue, will be open to westbound traffic only. Eastbound traffic is detoured. Please follow signs. Access to local residences will be maintained. This traffic control will be in place from May through the end of the project in September in conjunction with Xcel’s gas line work.
Pavement Management Project

June 6 – Begin Curb Removal and Replacement
June 6 – Begin Work at Larpenteur Trail
June 13 – Begin Work at Lexington Trail
July – Mill and Pave Roadways, Lawn Restoration
August – Simpson St Stormwater Improvements
TBD – Retaining Wall and Paving at County Road C2
As this project includes multiple neighborhoods, when the contractor starts work, you may not see them in your neighborhood right away. They may begin in a different area and work towards your street.
Please contact City staff if you have concerns about specific dates such as graduation parties, family reunions, etc.
Snelling Avenue Median Cable Barrier Project

MnDOT continues to work on Snelling Avenue between County Road C and I-694. Works consists of installing a new median cable barrier. Lane restrictions will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily on the side the contractor is working. Work will continue for southbound Snelling through mid-June.
Ramsey County Projects

Please visit Ramsey County’s website for additional project information. Work has begun on the County Road B2 project between Fairview Avenue and Snelling Avenue. Lane shifts and lane reductions will be in place until the work is completed in June.
Ramsey County is also working with the railroad to replace the railroad signals and add gates on Victoria Street, just north of County Road C. Lane shifts will be in place until the work is completed in a couple of weeks.
Xcel Gas Project

Gas work continues on Hamline Avenue. During the coming week, construction will occur in the following areas:
Hamline Avenue, between County Road B2 and Commerce Street.
Line installation and material staging.
Shifting lanes, two-way traffic allowed.
Hamline Avenue, between Commerce Street and County Road B.
Line installation and material staging.
One-way southbound only traffic.
Intersection of County Road B and Hamline Avenue.
Line installation and material staging.
Shifting lanes and lane closures.
County Road B, between Hamline and Lexington Avenues.
Line installation and material staging.
One-way westbound only traffic.
