Roseville Public Works Projects Updates

The following projects are ongoing in the City this week.  Visit the individual project webpages for additional information.  Please note that construction schedules are subject to change.

Lexington Watermain

All work on the project was completed on June 8.

County Road B Watermain

All watermain work is completed.  Restoration will be completed once Xcel Energy replaces the gas main in the area. 

Xcel’s gas project is underway and should be completed by late September.  The City will work with Xcel to maintain the work site prior to the Xcel gas main replacement.  All restoration of curb, roads and turf will be done after the gas main is installed later this summer. Latest updates on the Xcel work are available at their project website.

In 2023, the City will replace the watermain on County Road B between Snelling Avenue and Hamline Avenue in conjunction with Ramsey County’s resurfacing project.

Pavement Management Project

Important project dates:

June 13 – Begin work at Lexington Trail
June 17 - Traffic Control on West Snelling Drive will be removed, weather permitting. 
Week of July 4 – Complete work on Lexington Trail
July 13 – Begin Milling and Paving Roadways
August – Stormwater Improvements and Paving on Simpson Street
August/September – Retaining Wall and Paving on County Road C2

As this project includes multiple neighborhoods, when the contractor starts work, you may not see them in your neighborhood right away. They may begin in a different area and work towards your street. Please contact City staff if you have concerns about specific dates such as graduation parties, family reunions, etc.

MnDOT - Snelling Avenue Median Cable Barrier Project

Please visit MnDOT’s project website at the link above for additional project information. 

MnDOT continues their work on Snelling Avenue between County Road C and I-694.  Works consists of installing a new median cable barrier.  Lane restrictions will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily on the side the contractor is working.  Work will continue for southbound Snelling through mid-June. 

MnDOT – Highway 280 Wall Repair

MnDOT is repairing a retaining wall on Highway 280 from County Road B to Trunk Highway 36. One of the northbound lanes adjacent to the wall is closed until August 29 to accommodate the construction.

Ramsey County Projects

Please visit Ramsey County’s project website for additional project information.

The intersection at Lexington Avenue and County Road B2 will be paved this Saturday. The intersection will be opened on Monday morning to Lexington Avenue Traffic. County Road B2 will be remain closed.  Please follow posted detours.

Xcel Energy - Northeast Metro Gas Project

Gas work continues on Hamline Avenue.  Latest updates on the Xcel work are available at their project website at the link above.
