The Roseville Fire Department typically responds to more than 7,500 calls every year. The majority of calls are for medical assistance.

4. Why do firefighters break windows and chop holes in roofs?

It may look like we just like to take out our aggressions, but there is a reason. Broken windows and roof venting allow smoke and heat to escape, causing less damage and allowing firefighters to better do their job.

5. Is firefighting a male -only profession?

No. Most fire departments, including ours, have a mix of male and female firefighters.
